The Store Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operations and ensuring all customers are greeted, and treated with respect and professionalism. Participate in merchandising and promotional activities. Assist with the display and inventory management of all products. Using a POS system in order to accept all transactions. Maintain a high level of customer service, maintaining professionalism, and portray Shawanaga First Nation in a positive manner. Ensure prompt and efficient customer service.

v  Greet customers with a high degree of professionalism.

v  Prepare sales and take transactions

v  Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day/shift.

v  Ensure health and safety of the store is maintained.

v  Inform supervisors of the need to order materials as required.

v  Check identification of customers to make sure they meet minimum age

            requirements for the purchase of tobacco products and or lottery products

v  Maintain a clean work environment and ensure proper supplies are

            available when needed.

v  Cleaning and disinfection of all areas of the store.

v  Assist with inventory control and organization.

v  Using a computerized point-of-sale system.

v  Monitor fuel levels.

v  High School Diploma

v  Initiative, good judgment and a high degree of interpersonal skills

v  Demonstrated leadership skills

v  Excellent administrative and organizational skills

v  Sound knowledge of financial management

v  Excellent oral and written communication skills
