The Indigenous Family Support Worker’s primary responsibility is to provide a range of direct services and programming to children (ages 0-6) and their families with the following objectives: cultural development and retention, child development and nutrition, parenting skills and community development. The Indigenous Family Support Worker will ensure the Indigenous Family Support Program addresses Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) objectives and priorities which involve the provision of community-based activities and services that are culturally competent, complement and link to existing services to build service capacity at the community level.
