The Opportunity
As the Supervisor Water Billing, Collections & Payment Processing you will be responsible for the co-ordination of the water meter reading, billing and collection functions, payment processing and related accounting and financial reporting responsibilities of the Revenue Division. This role will be under the general direction of the Manager, Billings & Collection Services.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following:
· Degree in business or public administration, commerce or a related discipline; and
· Professional accounting designation; and
· Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment
· Thorough knowledge of regulations/legislation and processes related to water meter reading, billing and collection functions.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with private and public officials, direct reports, co-workers and the general public
· Basic skill level in word processing software and an intermediate skill level in spreadsheet software
