Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is presently recruiting for a

(3) DISCHARGE DRIVERS

(Term Contract – Ending March 31, 2025)

Thunder Bay, Kenora, Timmins, ON

The Discharge Driver will transport clients released from custody to their destinations in a timely and safe manner. You need strong driving skills, a clean driving record, and a valid driver’s license. In addition to driving skills and experience, you also need strong communication and customer service skills. Interacting with passengers is a major part of our service, and you must work with our clients in a friendly and helpful manner.

Qualifications:
• Proven ability to work with individuals from NAN communities;
• Flexibility to work evenings as required
• Reliable Transportation required
• Fluency in an Indigenous language is an asset.
• Criminal record check is required.
• Clear Drivers Abstract
• First Aid Training
• Must follow all van operating protocol
• Strong computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
• Flexibility to work evenings as required.
• Reliable Transportation required
• Fluency in an Indigenous language is an asset.
• Criminal record check is required.

Location: Thunder Bay, Kenora, Timmins, ON
Hours: On-call, Casual
Salary: Salary is based on a “per trip” basis in accordance with the Discharge Program
pre-determined rate schedule.
