The position reports to the CEO, and is generally responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of WLLP including operation and maintenance of our lands and buildings, construction projects, waste management, and heavy equipment and trucking operations – this will include policy enforcement, job planning, estimating, purchasing, asset management (maintaining our building and equipment to maximize their service life), customer liaison and job monitoring, quality control and issues management. There are currently approximately 25 positions in the Operations and Construction Division, and growing, with 3-4 direct reports (supervisors/managers). The Director will also manage all contractors and subcontractors.
The Director will provide oversight on numerous major construction projects including the development of WLLP’s new highway commercial development. The Director will also take a lead role in leading and managing a road construction/maintenance company that services the forest industry, that WLLP will be purchasing in early 2024.
